Cinnamon Coffee Pods

a substitute for cardamom?

i’m making coffee pots de creme and the recipe calls for 1/3 cup of cardamom pods, but that’s really expensive so i want to substitute it, you have to steep them in cream so i was thinking of using cinnamon sticks. any suggestions on a substitute?

cardamom pods are inexpensive, especially in asian or indian markets.
There is no substitute for cardamom.
