How do you make Spanish Coffee [La Estrella] when its in a block?
I got some Spanish Coffee from Spain [La Estrella Mezcla Express] but it looks one solid brick. Do you break off small pieces and grind them or dissolve them? no instructions in english.
Have you opened the package yet? It is just tightly packed ground coffee, to be prepared espresso style. The Mezcla (mixture) refers to a 50-50 mix of regular French roast coffee and torrefacto coffee (roasted with sugar to make it less bitter). Just follow the regular procedure for your stovetop espresso pot. (If you don’t have one they are available online for about ten dollars. Don’t open the coffee package until you have the pot. You can store it in the freezer in a ziploc bag in the meantime.)
