Can I use vanilla syrup for coffee to replace vanilla extract?

I’m in a place where it’s hard to find Vanilla extract. I wish to bake. A friend found 1) butter vanilla and 2) vanilla syrup for coffee. Do either of these work?! Should I keep looking?

It depends on what you are making. Vanilla syrup contains a lot of sugar so if your recipe calls for sugar you might want to cut back on that just a bit.
