All Clad Outlet – A Brief History
John Ulam is the founder of the all clad cooking ware name brand. Way back in the day, in 1967, Ulam patented a system that allowed heat to spread evenly out over a pan making the cooking surface even for every bit of food in the pan. This was done by making an allow of steel and aluminum under specific constraints. This system was produced without the thought of using it for cookware but once he teamed up with Alcoa in 1967 they began to produce cookware products with this new technology, which fit perfectly in the necessity of this category. The performance of these new products they created greatly exceeded the performance of typical cookware.
The All Clad company was the very first American company in the cookware business to create an entire line of cookware from complete raw materials that are produced in its very own rolling mill. This company was as American as they come. Nothing was shipped out overseas, and no work was done by foreign hired hands to make more profits at the cost of improved American economy. Everything was done right in the United States of America.
For those who are involved in the cooking world and might enjoy watching the Food Network will probably recognize the name Emeral Lagasse. In 2000 Emeral Lagasse teamed up with the all clad outlet manufacturers are created his own line of cookware called Emerilware. By the end of that year Emerilware had contributed to an amazing one half of the company’s forty percent growth. That is quite an amazing accomplishment for any one celebrity to attribute to a company’s growth. 5 years later the 10 piece Emerilware stainless set became the number one best selling cookware set in the United States. With this massive accomplishment the Emerilware line was extended to other products such as cast iron cookware.
Part of the All Clad code is to produce items of high quality, with no exception. This is shown through their dedication of keeping all the important production in America. They hire only employee’s who have a passion for metal work and a passion for continuing the All Clad tradition of producing as high of quality product as possible at an affordable price.
You can see why the All Clad name brand has become a household name and endorsed by one of the most popular chef’s in all of television, Emeril Lagasse. There is something for everyone in these products as well. There are affordable sets that have high quality standards as well as high end more expensive sets that compromise nothing in the way of being the best of the best. These aren’t just home products either, there are actual specific cookware lines designed for the hustle and bustle of the cooking business where pans have to endure lots of stress, lots of hot and cold, and a ton of cooking without missing a beat. These pans and pots are really where its at. Once I purchased mine I could never go back to anything of lesser quality.
