What is the name of the electrical outlet near the sink (bathroom/kitchen) that has “test” /”reset” buttons?
It’s a grounded outlet that automatically shuts off if there is a problem with the electrical outlet (eg. if it gets too hot), and then you push the “reset” button. I think it’s called something like GSF (grounded ______ _________)… something like that… usually by the kitchen sink or bathroom sink,…. a safety feature….. What is this called? thanks for any info!
It is a GFI receptacle Ground Fault Interrupt. Not so much for overheating, but for an electrical short, such as a device like a hair dryer or curling iron, electric shaver, etc being dropped in water. It cuts the circuit break time to a thousandth of a second instead of the normal half second it would take to trip the regular circuit breaker.

The band’s hits were always deeply unconventional (like the haunting “Blue Monday,” essentially a seven-minute drum machine test with a short l… |

3121 $9.50 Add 3121 to the mounting pile of evidence: Prince is the black Beck. He’s a whole lot sexier, no doubt, but there’s more to both musicians than image. All-out weirdness for one. Edginess for another. And a fine-tuned sense of how to combine the two to create some of the decade’s most vital music for a third. Prince–looking ageless in videos for the first two singles, the controversy-courting “Bla… |
